The Tigers should have made last weeks ratings, but their 74-68 win over
Pittsburgh Central Catholic in the Aliquippa Giant Eagle/Pittsburgh
Basketball Club Winter Showcase @ Robert Morris’ Sewall Center did not quite make our deadline. I was able to get
the score posted on the Central Catholic notes, but the ratings were already
signed, sealed and delivered when I got it. The biggest reasons Beaver Falls
was not in before were losses to Hopewell, Erie Cathedral Prep and Blackhawk.
But they had just stopped Aliquippa two nights before the big win over Central
Catholic. 6-3 Jr Todd Thomas led
with 20pts, 11rebs, 6-4 Sr David Phillips had 15pts and 6-5 Soph Chastin Harris had 13pts. Then this week they pounded South Side

quarter to outscore the Spartans 31-11 and pull to within three. Embry
