1. Reading (28-3) (AAAA)
Won third District AAAA championship since 2004 with 54-46
victory over previously undefeated Hempfield. Won first round AAAA state game defeating Hazleton
Area 70-51. Then lost in double-overtime to Philadelphia Roman Catholic 62-47

2. Eastern York (31-1) (AAA)
The Golden Knights won the District AAA championship. Then in AAA state tournament play advanced to
the semifinals with wins over Wilkes-Barre Coughlin 68-42, Philadelphia Dobbins
Tech 78-47 and Abington Heights 57-43 before losing to eventual state champion,

3. Hempfield (29-2) (AAAA)
The Black Knights lost District AAAA final to Reading 54-46. Then in AAAA state tournament defeated Nazareth
52-49 and Philadelphia LaSalle 41-32, before losing to Bethlehem Liberty 46-38

4. Reading Central Catholic (30-2)
(A)
The Cardinals won the District A championship, then advanced to
the A state
championship game before losing. To reach the final they defeated Northern
Cambria 51-32, Philadelphia Math, Civics and ScienceÕs 85-53, Philadelphia
Girard College 65-54 and Greenwood 61-36. Then in the final they were beaten by

5. York (24-6) (AAAA)
The Bearcats finished 4th in the District AAAA tournament. Then in AAAA state tournament they defeated
West Chester Bayard Rustin 53-49, before losing to Bethlehem Liberty 58-54 in

6. Wilson (24-5) (AAAA)
The Bulldogs lost 6-5 Jr Zach Zweizig, this time to knee surgery and
saw their season end in the PIAA AAAA Round of 32 in a 47-33 loss to Pennsbury. They
are just not the same team without Zach and had to drop down, although they took third
place in District AAAA playoffs with 2-point win over York.
7. Red Land (24-6) (AAAA)
The Patriots finished fifth in the District AAAA tournament, then were crushed
74-31 by Plymouth-Whitemarsh in the first round of AAAA stateÕs.
8. Steelton-Highspire (20-9) (AAA)
The Rollers took third place in District AAA play, then saw their season ended
by Wilkes-Barre Holy Redeemer 59-39 in the AAA first round of states.
9. Trinity (17-8) (AA)
The Shamrocks won their third consecutive District AA
championship with
a 77-65 win over Lancaster Mennonite. Trinity then lost in the AA state first round to Philadelphia
Strawberry Mansion 68-46.
10. Susquehanna Township (16-10)
(AAA)
The Indians finished fifth in District AAA play. Opened AAA state play against the stateÕs #1
team Philadelphia Neumann-Goretti and lost 64-45.
11. York Suburban (24-6) (AAA)
Finished sixth in the District AAA tournament. Then in state AAA tournament, the Trojans defeated
Johnstown 61-46 and Lancaster Catholic 70-55 before losing in the Quarterfinals
to Chartiers Valley 86-69.
12. Lancaster Catholic (23-6)
(AAA)
The Crusaders finished second losing on 55-53 to
Eastern York in the District AAA championship game. Then opened AAA state play with a 52-44 victory
over Pottsgrove. Lancaster Catholic then fell behind by 21 points in the first
half, fought tooth-and-nail to get it within eight in the fourth quarter, but
ran out of gas in the end and lost to York Suburban 70-55.
13. East Pennsboro (20-8) (AAA)
East Pennsboro finished fourth in District AAA tournament. Then saw their season
come to a close on the downside of a 58-28 loss to the Abington Heights in AAA
state play.
14. Penn Manor (17-11) (AAAA)
The Comets finished seventh in District AAAA tournament. Then lost in first
round of AAAA
state tournament to Penn Wood 76-57.
15. Harrisburg 16-8) (AAAA)
Worst ending to season in quite a while after
losing in District AAAA Round of 16 to Penn Manor 63-61.
16. Hershey (21-6) (AAA)
DidnÕt make state tournament after great regular
season with two losses in District AAA play, to Lancaster Catholic and York Suburban.
17. West York (16-8) (AAA)
Also did not make states after losing in District AAA
tournament to
East Pennsboro and Susquehanna Township.
18. Warwick (17-11) (AAAA)
Finished sixth in District AAAA tournament. Then season ended
with a 64-48 loss to Scranton in the PIAA Round of 32.
19. Red Lion (16-9) (AAAA)
Did not make state tournament. Won a District AAAA Play-in game then lost to Red
Land in first round.
20. Lampeter-Strasburg (17-8)
(AAAA)
Finished second to Cocalico in Lancaster-Lebanon Section 3, but won a District AAAA Play-In game while Cocalico lost their Play-In game to Lancaster McCaskey. Ended season losing to York in District first round.
