1. Reading (13-0) (AAAA)

2. Central Dauphin East (12-1) (AAAA)

3. Susquehanna Township (10-1) (AAA)

4. York (10-4) (AAAA)

After two solid wins in the Lancaster Holiday Tournament
the Bearcats fell behind Dallastown 16-6 in the first quarter and fell 57-48. Malik Generett led with 16pts. York bounced back and put five players in double-figures to beat York South Western 80-61. Generett led with 15pts, Mlachi Leonard had 12pts, Ryan Matthews had 11pts and Jevaugh Murphy and Dashaun Davis both scored 10pts. Beat York Catholic 61-46. Gemerett scored a team-high 21pts and Leonard added 16pts, while Matthews had 12pts.

5. Lancaster (10-4) (AAAA)

The Red Tornado crushed Warwick 77-34 as Franklyn Thomas
and Jerren Harris both scored 16pts. Belted previously undefeated Cedar Crest 72-55. Jamaal Parker led with 19pts, Lamar Patterson had 16pts, Harris had 14pts and Leontae Turner had 13pts. If my records are right, McCaskey coach Steve Powell won his 295th game in the win over Crest. I will make a better check and make sure when he hits 300.

6. Steelton-Highspire (6-2) (AAA)

Opens ‘08 with a solid 70-48 win over Cumberland Valley. Josh Proctor
led with 20pts and Jeff Davis chipped in with 14pts. Lance Chisholm and Josh Proctor scored 22pts each and Davis added 13pts as the Rollers defeated previously undefeated Central Dauphin East 72-66.

7. West York (9-3) (AAA)

Justin Kirk
led with 14pts, Ben Cable scored 11pts and the Bulldogs defeated Susquehannock 69-39. Then defeated Hanover 85-50.

8. Red Land (10-3) (AAAA)

The Patriots got 21pts from Jermaine Marshall
and defeated Lower Dauphin easily 62-32. Lost Keystone Conference showdown to Susquehanna Township 60-57 despite 15pts from Jermaine Marshall

9. Cedar Cliff (9-3) (AAAA)

The Colts snapped a 23-year losing streak with a 77-52 win over shorthanded Harrisburg. D. J. Rowe
pumped in 26pts to lead the rout and Matt Miller scored 18pts. Then Aaron Caulfield scored 14 of his 21pts in the second half as the Colts overcame a 42-28 halftime deficit to defeat Carlisle 61-60. Rowe added 13pts to the win

10. Carlisle (9-4) (AAAA)

Daniel Cook
and Corey Henneghan led five Carlisle players in double-figures with 13pts each in a 65-61 win over Central Dauphin. Then Jeremy Henninger scored 22pts and Hennegan had 12pts but the Hurd lost to Cedar Cliff 61-60.

11. Columbia (13-1) (AA)

Ryan Hess
scored a game-high 22pts to lead the Tide to a 66-51 come from behind victory over Lancaster Mennonite. Adam Pittman drained five treys en route to 21pts to help the Tide. Mike Seibert then had game-high numbers with 23pts and five treys as the Crimson Tide pulled away in the second half to gain an emotional 63-47 victory over arch rival Lancaster Catholic. Derrick Smith added 12pts and Hess scored 11.

12. Trinity (8-4) (AA)

The Shamrocks got a big Keystone Conference win with a 72-53 victory over Mechanicsburg. Christian Kuntz
led Trinity with 24pts, 14rebs and Eric Kindler added 15pts. After the big win, the Rocks get upset by Hershey 48-39. Eric Pochak was high scorer with 15pts.

13. Chambersburg 7-4) (AAAA)
Defeated Harrisburg Bishop McDevitt 71-54 as Armond Perez
led with 27 points. Darryl Peoples had five three’s for 15pts and DeVonte Merritt controlled the glass with 17rebs. Won their first game over Harrisburg since 2001-02 season and first at Harrisburg since 96-97 as they led from start to finish in a 70-67 victory. Peoples led with 20pts, Perez had 15pts, 13rebs and Merritt added 11pts.

14. Harrisburg (6-6) (AAAA)

Playing most of the game without Quincy Roberts
and all of the game without Cody Williams the Cougars were no match for Cedar Cliff in a 77-52 loss. Eric Henry and Chris Halty scored 12pts apiece to lead Harrisburg. Cougars then lose to Chambersburg 70-67 as Henry led with 19pts and Willie Buie scored 11pts.. Lost to Reading 66-54. Roberts played and led the Cougars with 22pts and Williams also played and had 10pts and 12rebs.

15. Mechanicsburg (11-3) (AAAA)


Jake Zeigler
led the Wildcats with 17pts in a 72-53 loss to Trinity. Steve Edgar free throws with seven seconds remaining gave the Wildcats a 50-46 win over Palmyra. Zeigler led the way with 23pts.

16. York Catholic (9-4) (AA)

Jacob Iati hit for 24pts in helping the Irish hold of Bermudian Springs 47-43. Iati
then scored 31pts, 16 in the third quarter of a 54-52 win over York Eastern. John Full finished with 11pts. Lost to York High 61-46. Iati scored 32pts for and was responsible for 89% of his teams offense for the night.

17. Red Lion (11-3) (AAAA)

Matt Bray made one of two foul shots with no time on the clock as Red Lion held off York South Western 41-40. Todd Maciejewski led with 14pts and Josh Lauver added 13pts. Then defeated Central York 53-43. Lost to Central Dauphin 74-65.

18. Eastern York (11-2) (AAA)

The Golden Knights got 16pts from Austin Tillotson
and 11ps apiece from Jason Shimmel and Eric Chronister in beating Littlestown 68-40. Could not hold a 30-22 halftime lead and lost to York Catholic 54-52. Andrew Nicholas led with 18pts, Kevin McMullen had 15pts and Tillotson added 11pts.

19. Greencastle-Antrim (12-1) (AAA)

The Blue Devils edged York Northern 47-45 as Jordan Gembe
and Dameatric Scott combined to score 25pts. Then got 29pts and 8rebs from Scott in a 69-31 win over West Perry in front of a big home crowd.

20. Cedar Crest (11-1) (AAAA)
The Falcons move into the ratings on the strength of a 66-54 triple overtime win at home over Hempfield. 5-10 Sr Kyle McConnell
scored a game-high 15pts to lead the way. 6-2 Sr Chris Keith and 6-0 Sr Mike Fields both scored 14pts and 6-2 Sr Mark Manno added 12pts to lead the balanced attack. Then had their unbeaten record smashed at Lancaster 72-55. McConnell led with 19pts, 15 in the second half when the game was in hand.

DROPPED OUT:
Hempfield (8-5) After losing in triple-overtime to Cedar Crest.
