The Trojans got 26pts on 10-10 shooting from the field from Harold Brandley, Griffin Sponaugle 13pts and Matt Banas 10pts.

Championship -

Guards Mike Miller 6-0 Jr (13pts) and Chris Warren 5-10 Soph (11pts) combined for 24pts and 6-5 Sr Marquis Marshall had 11pts. Wilson was led by 5-11 Soph Trevaun Coad with a game-high 14pts.

Reading 67 Wyomissing 47 - The Red Knights took a 31-14 halftime lead over the Spartans and breezed in the second half for the victory. 6-1 Jr Jalen Branford led the way with 14pts, 5-11 Soph Gil Benz had 11pts, 6-3 Sr Kyle Lane scored 10pts and three others had at least 8 points. 6-3 Jr Spencer Lloyd led Wyomissing with 12pts and 6-1 Jr William Kroppe added 10pts.

Schuylkill Valley 50 Daniel Boone 45 - 6-3 Sr Cornell Yarde had 21 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists, leading the Panthers past the Blazers. Daniel Boone took a 36-35 lead into the final quarter but was outscored 15-9 as the Panthers pulled it out. 5-10 Jr Jared Chelius also scored in double-figures for Schuylkill Valley with 10pts. The Blazers were led by Freshman G Emmanuel Lacey with 15pts and 5-11 Sr Seth Lacey with 11pts.

Muhlenberg 43 Brandywine Heights 41 - Muhlenberg went into the fourth quarter with a 32-25 lead and held on for the narrow win. 6-1 Sr Christian Burggraf scored a game-high 22pts, including the 1,000th of his career in leading the Muhls to the win. He hit a pair of free throws with 35 seconds left to give the Muhls a 45-41 lead. The Bullets cut the lead to 45-43 but missed a shot at the buzzer that would have tied it. Brandywine Heights was led by 6-4 Sr Matt Ziegler with 15pts and 6-1 Sr William Harrison with 11pts.

Semifinals -

Berks Catholic 69 Muhlenberg 33 - Berks Catholic started slow but used a 13-2 run to end the first quarter and then put together nine and eight-point runs in the second quarter to build a 36-12 halftime lead. The Saints upped their lead to 32 points early in the third quarter and ran away with the game. They shot 67% from the field for the game. 6-9 Sr Donovan Jack led the Saints with 17pts, 8rebs, 6-5 Sr Marquis Marshall had 15pts and 6-8 Soph Nana Foulland added 10pts.

Schuylkill Valley 79 Reading 72 - No matter how you try to spin it and have the losing coach and fans say we played bad and deserved to lose, it's been my experience in 55+ years one team doesn't shoot 49 (one player 30) foul shots while the other shoots only 5. It happens when there is a 15 to 20 foul shot difference in a game from time to time, but not 49 and that's my opinion. Anyway the scores tell you who won. Three Reading players fouled out and about four others had four fouls each. Cornell 'Manny' Yarde a very good and very highly respected player was the one who got 30 free throws and to his credit he made 26 of them and scored a school record 40pts to lead his team. Jared Chelius scored 15 and Kyle Beissel added 12 more points. Meanwhile Reading did make 13 treys, five (5-for-6) of them by Baba Waples who scored 26pts before fouling out in the third quarter. Jalen Branford had 4 treys, 21pts, 7rebs and 9 assists and Nick Batista had 3 treys and 11pts.

Championship -

Berks Catholic 48 Schuylkill 28 - Berks Catholic won the Berks Conference in their first try as the breezed past upstart Schuylkill Valley 48-28. After leading only 11-10 after the first quarter the Saints outscored SV 37-18 in the final three quarters. Their outstanding defense limited the Panthers to 29% shooting and held high-scoring Cornell Yarde to just 9pts. 6-9 Sr Donovon Jack led Berks Catholic with 16pts, 6-0 Jr Mike Miller had 11pts and 5-10 Soph Chris Warren added 10pts.

LANCASTER-LEBANON LEAGUE TOURNAMENT:

Quarterfinals -

Manheim Township 68 Donegal 58 - The first quarter was very slow and ugly after the first few minutes. MT got off to a quick start with an 8-0 run. MT scored on lay-ups by Cory Stoltz, Niki Veronis, Jordon Ness, and 6-2 Sr Jomar Guerrero. However, Donegal called timeout and settled things down on the def. end. Donegal answered by scoring a lay-up by Martin Dietrich at the 4:45 mark. The quarter ended at 12-3. Twp had many opportunities extend the lead but committed multiple turnoversÉ..With the Streaks scoring the first 5 points of the second quarter, it looked as though it could be a long evening for the Indians. Donegal came alive as Martin Dietrich drove, shot jumpers and hit a three ball. Donegal closed on a 13-6 run to end the quarter at 28-19. Both the Indians and the Streaks committed 8 turnovers each during the first half. Twp limited the Indians inside game by blocking 5 shotsÉ..The third quarter produced a basket for a basket during the first 4 minutes of quarter three, but then the Streaks produced an 8-0 run towards the end of the quarter to stretch the lead to 46-29. Twp had multiple run outs which led to points for the Streaks and fouls for the Indians. In the end, this stretch proved fatal for Donegal's upset bid. Stoltz ended the quarter as he slowly weaved his way into the lane and hit a short jumper with 3 ticks left on the clockÉ..Twp pushed the lead to 20 early in the fourth. One would think it was all over but the fat lady singing (sorry), but Donegal hung tough. Donegal started driving the ball to the basket, and Twp committed multiple turnovers (5 for the quarter) down the stretch. With a little under 2 minutes to go, the Indians were at the line to cut it to 6 but missed the one and one. Twp made enough free throws to win and advance. Manheim Township was led in scoring by 6-5 Sr Billy Vaughn Geib 14, 6-1 Sr Cory Stoltz 13, 6-1 Sr Niki Veronis 13, 6-2 S Jordon Ness 10. McCaskey got some steals to take an eight point lead but LS would cut it to 2 and 3 points twice in the final minutes but Cherry went 7-for-8 from the foul line in the final minutes and McCaskey would move on to the next round. Cherry led the Tornado with 15pts and Newsome added 13pts. The Pioneers were led by Miller with 17pts on 5 treys and Achille with 10pts and a game-high 9 rebounds.
