District 3 rating until after the state finals. We will see how things
go as far as time to put them together with all the games. There will

playoffs. Red Lion (19-5) (AAAA) - After losing to
York Suburban in the YAIAA quarterfinals.
BERKS
CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT: Quarterfinals
- Reading vs. Wyomissing - The Red Knights led from the start, but needed a 20-8 fourth quarter
to really pull away from Wyomissing, 69-47. Jermaine Jackson led with 19pts, 11rebs, while Jordan and Trenity Burdine both scored 15pts. Clayton Bodden 18pts, 12rebs and Jon Baker 16pts were high for Wyomissing. Daniel Boone vs. Oley Valley - The Blazers held Oley Valley to single-digits
in all four quarters and defeated the Lynx 43-25. Zach Benjamin
had 10pts and 9rebs to lead Boone, while Oley
Valley was led by Kyle Wheaton with
9pts, 10rebs.
Reading Holy Name vs. Wilson - In a mild upset, Holy Name outscored Wilson 10-4
over the final 3:38 to defeat the Bulldogs 47-41. Freshman guard Jon
Angstadt led the
Blue Jays with 15pts and Tyler Beck had
15pts to lead Wilson. Muhlenberg vs. Schuylkill Valley - Kevin Botch had 18pts and Derek Zeller scored 12pts as Muhlenberg topped Schuylkill Valley
38-36. Daniel Cieniewicz led
the losers with 14pts. Semifinals
- Reading vs. Muhlenberg - Reading took a 24-11 lead after the first quarter and was never in
trouble as they defeated Muhlenberg 79-58. Jordan Burdine was high with 28pts, 4-for-5 on treys, Jackson
scored 18pts and
Trenity Burdine had
17pts. Derek Zeller with
23pts, Taylor Graeff and
Vaughn Carraway with 10pts apiece led the Muhls. Daniel Boone vs. Reading Holy Name - Daniel Boone opened a 58-44 lead with 3:16 to
play then had to survive a missed 13-foot jumper at the buzzer by
Holy Name to get a 60-58 win. Daniel Sekulksi led
the Blazers with 17pts, 12rebs and Benjamin had 14pts, 12rebs. Eric Angstadt led Holy Name with 15pts, eight in the final 2:27.
Jeremy Beckett had
12pts and Ryan McFarland 11pts.
Championship
- Reading vs. Daniel Boone - Reading got out to a 19-11 first quarter lead as Jermaine Jackson
(12rebs) scored 11
of his career-high 27pts in that first quarter. The lead swelled to
40-23 in the third quarter, but Boone would cut it to seven points.
However the Knights took control again with a 22-12 fourth quarter
for a 72-54 victory. Justin Rodriguez had
16 of his 18pts in the second half. Danny Sekulski scored
22pts and grabbed 10rebs to lead Boone, while Gavin Williams added 10pts for the Blazers.
LANCASTER-LEBANON LEAGUE TOURNAMENT:
Quarterfinals - Lancaster vs. Manheim Central - Jerren Harris had a monster game with 28pts, 14rebs, 7blks to
lead the Red Tornado to a 73-44 romp over Manheim Central. Jamaal
Parker added 10pts for the winners. L-L scoring leader
Jordan Gatchell finished
with a team-high 13pts to lead Manheim Central but was limited to
three points in the first half as McCaskey claimed a 34-12 lead. His
little brother Zach Gatchell scored
11pts for Central.
Hempfield vs. Lebanon - The Black Knights led from start to finish as they avenged a loss
to Lebanon in the Lebanon Tip-Off Tournament with a 57-40 victory
over the Cedars. Three players, Eddie Gailor,
Jordon Stewart and
Chris Yoder, scored
12pts each to lead Hempfield, . Lebanon was led by James Capello
with a game-high 13pts.
Columbia vs. Elizabethtown - After outscoring Elizabethtown 16-14 in the first quarter, the Tide
looked flat and the Bears went on a 16-8 roll in the second quarter
to take a 30-24 lead into the locker room at the half. But Adam
Pittman drained two treys to open the second half and
Columbia went on a 25-13 quarter run to take command of the game and
won 61-52. Mike Seibert led
with 18pts, Pittman had
11pts and pg Colby Tuell added
10pts. E-town was led by Chad Styer with 22pts and Nathan Koach added 12pts..
Lancaster Catholic vs. Conestoga Valley - Lancaster Catholic got out to an early lead and
was never really threatened in a 69-56 victory over Conestoga Valley.
Simon O'Leary led
the Crusaders with 17pts, Tyler Purvis had
15pts and Cullen Farrell added
10pts. CV was led by Jeremy Skoloda who scored a game-high 28pts and Kevin Gibbons with 10pts. Semifinals - Lancaster vs. Columbia - This one was everything everyone was waiting for all year long. Columbia
would jump out to a 10-5 lead but the Tornado paced by 15 first half
points by Leontae Turner raced
to a 41-25 halftime lead. Columbia then scored the first nine points
of the third quarter to pull within 41-34 and got to within 46-40
after three. Columbia would tie the game at 51-51 with 4:00 left,
but McCaskey used their inside strength to pull away for a 61-54 victory.
Turner and Lamar Patterson both scored 17pts to lead and Jerren Harris
added 12pts for the winners. Columbia was paced
by Adam Pittman who
scored a game-high 18pts and 4treys, Yahya McIntrye had 12pts and Mike Seibert added 10pts.
Hempfield vs. Lancaster Catholic - The Black Knights were in control from the start
and cruised to a 61-45 victory over Lancaster Catholic. Eddie Gailor
had a career-high 30pts to lead the winners and
Marc Kreider had
12pts. Simon
O'Leary scored all
10 of Catholic's points in the first quarter but was held to four
in the final three quarters and finished with a team-high 14pts and
Dan Sweigart added 11pts. Championship
- Lancaster vs. Hempfield - The Red Tornado won their fourth consecutive L-L championship with
their third win over Section 1 rival, Hempfield 62-53. Hempfield had
come back and tied the game just before halftime and led 43-40 heading
into the final quarter. But the Tornado went on a 22-10 tear in the
fourth quarter to put the game away. Leontae Turner led
with 19pts, Jerren Harris had
18pts, Lamar Patterson 13pts
and Jamaal Parker added
10pts. Jordon Stewart led
the Black Knights with 16pts and Eddie Gailor added 15pts.
MID-PENN
CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT: Quarterfinals
- Steelton-Highspire vs. Scotland - The Rollers fell behind the Class A power 16-8
at the end of the first quarter, and still trailed 46-43 after three
quarters but used a 16-11 fourth quarter advantage to pull out a 59-57
win. Josh Proctor led
with 14pts, Jeff Davis had
13pts, Jordan Smith had
12pts and Lance Chisholm added
10pts for the Rollers. Byron Johnson led
Scotland with 13pts and Khalid Gresham added 12pts.
Susquehanna Township vs. Boiling Springs - The Indians got out to a 31-12 halftime lead,
but Boiling Springs outscored them 15-4 in the third quarter to pull
to within 35-27 after three quarters. They would get even closer,
but Township pulled away for a 48-40 victory. Matt Jones led a balanced Indian attack with 11pts, while Andy Wolfe led Boiling Springs with 17 points. Greencastle-Antrim vs. Central Dauphin East - The Blue Devils trailed state ranked Central Dauphin
East only 41-38 heading into the final quarter then outscored the
Panthers 15-11 for a 53-52 upset win. Dameatric Scott led with 17pts, 12rebs and Jordan Gembe added 15pts. Jonathan Breeden led East with 21pts, while Quion Gunning and Nate Hess scored 10 points apiece. Mechanicsburg vs. Milton Hershey - The Wildcats had to come from behind a 33-26 halftime
deficit to defeat Milton Hershey 65-50. Dylan Edgar led with 19pts, Chris White had 18pts and Jake Zeigler 15pts for the winners. Milton Hershey had four
players score in double-figures led by A. J. Fofanah with 23pts, Gary Gilliam with 13pts and Mike Williams and Kevin Lozada with 11pts apiece. Semifinals
- Steelton-Highspire vs. Mechanicsburg - The Rollers got out to a 37-22 lead at the half
and led by as many as 17pts, but Mechanicsburg cut the lead to four
(50-46) after three quarters. They took a lead. 54-52, in the fourth,
but the Rollers came back for a 63-62 victory. Six players scored
seven or more points for Steel-High led by Lance Chisholm with
20pts and Jeff Davis with
12pts, 11rebs. Mechanicsburg got double-figure scoring from Jake
Zeigler with 20pts, Chris White with 15pts and Steve Edgar with 12pts. Susquehanna Township vs. Greencastle-Antrim - The Indians raced to a 30-17 lead at the half
and led by as many as 16 points on the way to a 58-50 win over Greencastle-Antrim.
The lead was double-digits for most of the game until GAÔs, Scott
fired in five treys in the final quarter. Matt Jones led
Susquehanna with 20pts, Tahj Turner had 14pts and Ben Dupree added 10pts. Scott hit
on 7treys for the game and a game-high 27pts for the Blue Devils.
Jordan Gembe had
10pts. Championship - Steelton-Highspire vs. Susquehanna Township - A 13-2 second-quarter run gave Steel-High a 28-22
halftime lead. But the Indians rallied to within four points early
in the fourth quarter 49-45 with 6:08 to go. After that it was all
the Rollers as they finished the last six minutes on a 24-7 tear for
a 73-52 victory and the Conference championship. Josh Proctor led with 27pts, 12rebs, Lance Chisholm had 22pts and Lloyd Hill had 12pts. The Indians were led by Greg Edwards
with 18pts and Matt

LEAGUE TOURNAMET: Quarterfinals

- West York vs. Delone Catholic - West York advanced to the championship game with
a 68-60 win over Delone Catholic. Dan Haverstock led the Bulldogs with 24pts and Jordan Cable
had 16pts, including
4 treys. The Squires's Chris Hartmann led
all scorers with 29pts and Adam Naymick added 10pts.
York Suburban
vs. York Catholic - Suburban
pulled their second straight upset and defeated York Catholic for
the sixth time in the last two years and that is unheard of. This
time 6-5 Sophomore Thomas McInerney swatted
away a shot by Jacob Iati to
give the Trojans a 46-43 victory. Mitch Kemp led the Trojans with 12pts and Byron Thompson added 10pts. Iati led the Irish with 18pts and Joe Falci finished with 11pts. Championship - West York vs. York Suburban - West York won their third YAIAA championship in
four year by turning back stubborn York Suburan 44-38. The Bulldogs
led 21-12 at the half and pushed the lead to 13 before the Trojans
tied the game at 30-30 in the fourth quarter. But West York forced
some turnovers and shot well at the line to pull out the win. Haverstock
with 18pts and Ben Cable with 12pts led the Bulldogs, while Ryan Kinard had 16pts for Suburban. PIGTAIL
RESULTS AND OTHER GAMES - FOR RANKED TEAMS:
Harrisburg - In
a pigtail District game, the Cougars earned the right to play #2 seed
Lancasster by beating back fellow Mid-Penn rival, Chambersburg 58-52.
Quincy Roberts led
with 23pts, Sheldon Wilson had
11pts and Eric Henry scored
10pts. Mechanicsburg - The
Wildcats had to go overtime to defeat Waynesboro 58-56 in a district
pigtail game. Jake Zeigler led
with 17pts and Chris White added
10pts. Red Land - The
Patriots added a 24th game to their schedule since they didn't make
the Mid-Penn Conference playoffs and crushed Cedar Crest 68-44. Jermaine
Marshall led with
17pts, Kevin Hinze had
14pts and Nick Liddell added
13pts.
Scotland - The
Cadets picked up another game between the Mid-Penn Conference and
the start of District play and defeated Cumberland Valley Christian
74-54. Byron Johnson led with 18pts, Will Harmon had 12pts and Khalid Gresham and Doug Kugmeh both scored 10pts apiece. SUSQUEHANNA INDEPENDENT ATHLETIC CONFERENCE: Semifinals - Harrisburg Academy vs. York Country Day - The Spartans of Harrisburg Academy trailed York
Country Day 14-7 after the first quarter, but outscored the Greyhounds
46-13 in the middle two quarters and went on to a 71-50 victory. Christopher
Conroy led the winners with 21pts, Joshua Pan scored 19pts and A. Chernicoff added 13pts. Country Day was led by Joe Slonaker
with 22pts, Levi
Snell with 12pts
and Yann Potier with
11pts. Belleville Mennonite vs. Carson Long - The Trojans of Belleville Mennonite got 21pts
from Logan Metzler,
16pts from John Dellape and
13pts from Evan Peachey and
beat Carson Long 57-36. The Warriors got 14pts from Christian Swain
and 12pts from Marcus Guerrier.
Championship
- Harrisburg Academy vs. Belleville Mennonite - Harrisburg Academy raced to a 68-39 victory over
Belleville Mennonite leading from start to finish after a 24-14 first
half. Stephen Pedersen,
the mid-state's leading scorer, led the winners with 26pts and 5treys,
Chris Conroy had
14pts and Joshua Pan and
Mike Bernstein both had 12pts apiece. Logan Metzler led the losers with 14pts.
COMMONWEALTH CHRISTIAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE: Quarterfinals - Living Word Academy vs. Conestoga Christian - Living Word advances to the semifinals with a
65-43 win over Conestoga Christian. Living Word got 19pts from Zach
Johnston and 12pts
from Peter Harrower,
while Kyle Detwiler had
a game-high 22pts and Quintin Stoltzfus had
15pts for Conestoga Christian.
Lancaster Christian
vs. Berks Christian - Kody Koser scored 29pts and Cameron Ingram had 11pts as Lancaster Christian defeated Berks
Christian 77-51. Mark Long led
the losing Lions with 21pts and Kody Godsey added 11pts. Semifinals - Mount Calvary vs. Living Word Academy - Mount Calvary led from start to finish in a 53-47
win over Living Word Academy. The winners were led by Jeremi Jones
with 26pts, Steve Howard with 11pts and Joel Cutting with 10pts. LWA got 15pts from John Brubaker, 14pts from Peter Harrower and 12pts from Zach Johnston.
Lancaster Christian vs. Lititz Christian - The Lancers jumped to a 36-21 lead at the half,
extended it to 51-26 after three quarters and crushed Lititz Christian
56-38. Caleb Graves led
the way with 18pts and Kody Koser had
15pts. Lititz was led by Hershberger with
11pts and Distler and
Kashawage both
scored 10pts.
Championship - Mount Calvary vs. Lancaster Christian - This was the third time these two played this
year as they finished 9-1 in their league, each beating the other
once. But this time after a close first half the Chargers of Mount
Calvary took command with a 36-20 second half and came away with a
58-39 victory for their second straight CCAC title. Jeremi Jones
led the Chargers
with 20pts, Stephen Howard had 14pts and Joel Cutting added 13pts. The Lancers were led by Kody Koser with 18pts.
