1. Reading (23-0) (AAAA)

6. West York (18-5) (AAA)
The Bulldogs end their regular season by thumping Hanover 78-28 as Dan
Havestock (18pts) and Jordan
Cable (14pts) combined for 32pts.
In the first round of the YAIAA Tournament, West York defeated Eastern York
82-68. Haverstock led with
35pts, Ben Cable had 12pts, Jordan
Cable had 11pts and Brandon
Parker had 10pts.
7. Red Land (18-5) (AAAA)
The Patriots pulled back into a second-place tie with Mechanicsburg in the MPC
Keystone Division with a 68-50 win over Lower Dauphin. Jermaine Marshall and Nick Liddell each scored 17pts and Kendall Hinze added 14pts. Fell behind Susquehanna Township
25-12 at the half and rallied in the second half, but fell short, 48-47. Marshall led with 22pts.
8. Delone Catholic (21-2) (AA)
Finished regular season with a 71-38 victory over Fairfield. Chris Hartmann scored 22pts, Adam Naymick had 16pts and Cody Smith had 10pts.
In the YAIAA quarterfinals, the Squires advanced with a 50-32 victory over New
Oxford. Hartmann led the
Squires with 20pts, Naymick contributed
15pts.
9. Columbia (22-2) (AA)
Lost their 20-game winning streak and gets forced into a playoff for LL Section
4 with Lancaster Catholic when they are beaten by the Crusaders, 73-65 Adam
Pittman paced the Tide with 24pts
and Mike Seibert scored 11pts.
Got their tie for the Section 4 title with a 75-37 drubbing of Annville-Cleona. Pittman had 6 treys and scored
26pts, Ben Guiles had 15pts and Seibert added 14pts. Won their
Section playoff with Lancaster Catholic with a 78-60 victory. The Tide raced to
a 24-11 lead early, but Catholic who had won seven section titles in a row,
made a game of it, but fell short in the end to Columbia’s speed. Seibert finished with 26pts, Pittman had 16pts and Yahya McIntyre added 10pts.
10. Cedar Cliff (15-9) (AAAA)
The Colts started the week by pounding Lower Dauphin 71-26. D. J. Rowe scored 21pts to lead. Then got their second win of
the season over Harrisburg with a 55-51 victory. Rowe led with 20pts and Travis Mettler added 18pts. In their third game of the week they
defeated Carlisle 69-59. Rowe led
with 19pts, Mettler had 15pts, Miller had 13pts and Aaron Caulfield had 12pts.
11. Harrisburg (12-10) (AAAA)
The Cougars lost for the second time this year to Cedar Clff 55-51 after
leading 30-25 at the half. Quincy Roberts led with 15pts in the loss. Alphonso Washington had 12pts and Sheldon Wilson added 10pts. @ The Battle By The Bay in Atlantic
City, New Jersey, the Cougars lost
to highly nationally ranked Newark St. Benedict’s, NJ 71-54. Roberts, Wilson and Washington all
scored 12pts for Harrisburg.
12. Hempfield (17-6) (AAAA)
The Black Knights defeated Manheim Township 49-31. Matt Donato led with 12pts and Marc Kreider added 10pts. Hempfield clinched a spot in the L-L
playoffs when they belted Penn Manor 74-43. Eddie Gailor scored a game-high 17pts to lead.
13. York Catholic (18-6) (AA)
The Irish finished their regular season with a 71-67 win over Eastern York. Jacob
Iati ended his fine home career
with 29pts on Senior Night. Opened YAIAA Tournament with a somewhat surprising
70-60 double-overtime win over York High. Iati upped his career point total to 2,340 points with a
game-high 26pts.
14. York (17-7) (AAAA)
The Bearcats take a big drop in the ratings as they have just lost one too many
games to York County teams they should have beaten. In regular season final
they scored 38-points in the second half and defeated York South Western 60-41
with Malik Generett leading
with 19pts, while Mike Kinard scored
12pts and Jevaughn Murphy had
10pts. Then in the YAIAA quarterfinals, they fell behind York Catholic by
18-points in the second quarter, came back to tie and send the game to
double-overtime but then fell apart again and lost 70-60. Malachi Leonard led in the loss with 15pts, Chemin Lambert had 13pts and Dashawn Davis scored 10pts.
15. Mechanicsburg (16-7) (AAAA)
The Wildcats overcame a 31-20 halftime deficit and defeated Trinity 67-66 in
double-overtime. Jake Zeigler led
with 31pts, Chris White added a
double-double with 16pts and 10rebs and Greg Bretz added 10pts. Then stepped up and played MPC
Commonwealth power Central Dauphin East and lost to the Panthers 53-44. Zeigler scored 20pts to lead. Then
defeated Palmyra 59-43. Zeigler had
15pts and Bretz scored 11pts.
16. Trinity (14-8) (AA)
The Shamrocks could not hold on to a 31-20 halftime lead over Mechanicsburg and
lost to the Wildcats 67-66 in double-overtime. The loss knocked Trinity out of
the race for second place in MPC Keystone Division. Eric Kindler led with 23pts, Eric Pochak had 15pts and Matt Donahue scored 12pts. Ended regular season with a 62-49 win
over Hershey. Kindler led with
17pts and R. J. Dill added
10pts..
17. Greencastle-Antrim (20-3) (AAA)
The Blue Devils bounced back from their loss to Chambersburg and belted Milton
Hershey 61-37. Dameatric Scott led
with 22pts, 7rebs. Jordan Gembe added 16pts. Lost their last regular season game to Boiling Springs 66-65
despite 35pts from Scott.
18. Chambersburg (12-9) (AAAA)
Armond Perez led with 26pts and DeVonte
Merritt added 15pts to lead the
Trojans to a 54-42 win over Harrisburg Bishop McDevitt. Then defeated James
Buchanan 70-58. Perez again led
with 22pts, Ryan Borzager had
18pts and Merritt added 10pts.
19. Red Lion (19-5) (AAAA)
The Lions finished their regular season with a 69-42 win over Central York. Spencer
McCreary and Josh Lauver combined for 31pts to lead Red Lion. Matt Bray chipped in with 10pts. Lost to York Suburban 43-42
in first round of YAIAA Tournament.
20. Scotland (15-3) (A)
Class A power finally moves into top 20. Their only losses have come to
Philadelphia Prep Charter and to Greencastle-Antrim twice. They will probably
win the District 3 title and advance far in states. Their top players are: 6-6
Jr Byron Johnson, 6-0 Sr Khalid Gresham, 5-8 Sr Debronis Warren, 6-0 Jr Justin
Pernell, 6-2 Sr Taj Cousin, 6-2 Sr Will Harmon, 5-11 Sr Christian Debrest and
6-3 Sr Kenny Stone.
DROPPED OUT: Eastern
York (16-8) (AAA)
The Golden Knights ended their regular season by taking York Catholic to
overtime before losing to the Irish, 71-67. Austin Tillotson led with 22pts. Lost 82-68 to West York in the
first round of the YAIAA Tournament. Andrew Nicholas had 29pts to lead Eastern.
